This project was my first time trying book cover art. Dominik had his vision and I fulfilled every wish, to the last detail. Everything was entirely his idea - he has amazing creativity. Since this was also Dominik's first and second book, I knew at that moment, that I just needed to be a tool to reach his creative goals. He loves it, so I think it turned out perfect. 

I've painted the book cover for "Danred a onyxová cesta" in April of 2023. The main idea was that it's night, darkness, fire, also I needed to show off how the main character is very protective of his close ones. Enemies are weirdly shaped, almost monstrous. Style is semi-realistic, this was asked from Dominik specifically.

I have finished the second cover - "Danred a hladina neznáma" in 2025. I have also painted two illustrations inside of this book as well as sculpted a little clay statue of Akéza, the big snakey part of this cover. This was not asked of me, but I was told it was a really nice surprise. The truth is, I tried so many ways to "find" the shape of Akéza and all I had was this rough idea Dominik sent me. But finally, I bought some clay and just started scultping and it worked out perfectly!

Such a great collaboration, I'm very happy even with the older work and so happy I could see my illustrations in Luxor in Prague. Great job Dominik, thank you for choosing me!
